Fall/Winter 2012-2013: Burgundy, Fuchsia, Orange, Smoky Rose

Fall and winter colors shouldn’t be as bright as they are in spring and summer. But it in no way means you have to go black, grey and brown. You can choose any color you like. Burgundy, Fuchsia, Orange, Smoky Rose are the go-with reds this season.

Burgundy. Wine shades are still in trend: passionate, complex, exciting, enigmatic. Mix burgundy with luxury prints (brocades, paisleys, silk stripes) or cool it down it with charcoal gray and olive.

Fuchsia, Magenta, Neon Pink. The combination of these color and black is at the peak of popularity. Captivating, stimulating, a gorgeous shade will pop you out of the crowd. Magenta is easier to wear than neon pink or ultra-bright fuchsia, but still has plenty of pop. Don't want black, go with gray, tan, yellows, lime green and browns. But consider this as well: the mint has a calming effect on brisk fuchsia.

Neon Orange, Tomato. This color is another favorite of Fall/Winter 2012-2013 season. Orange is a very stylish and happy color! Pair it with creamy white, gray, pale yellow, forest green, browns, cherry red. Try it mixed with pink that is quite a statement! If you want to go gallant, mix it with navy blue, bright cobalt or deep shade of purple.

Smoky Rose. This gentle and subtile carries a lot of sophistication and nobility. It mixes great with neutrals and denim. Garments in soft colors are stylish and elegant. They look sexy without being too aggressive. Consider also: browns, tan, mint and olive green.

Framed Manicure

Framed Manicure
This design will take you about 10-15 minutes to complete. The level of difficulty is easy.

  • Start with applying a base coat to protect your nails.
  • Put a coat or two of the color you want as the border, covering the whole nail.
  • Paint on the "center" color on top of the "frame" color, leaving a bit at all edges. Move the brush in a curved motion and pick the brush up before it reaches the tip of the nail.
  • Touch up later to fix all imperfections with the frame color. You can also add a final strip at the tip of the nail to make this edge look more accurate.
  • Let nail polish dry and apply a top coat to protect your design.

Fall/Winter 2012-2013: Classic Trio

Fall, inspite of the leafage color diversity, calls for darker colors in clothes. Winter, on the contrary, colorless and white by nature asks to add some colored spots. This idea reflects in the collections of famous designers where dark color palette spikes with bright colors.

Fall/Winter 2013 color trend is all about saturation and shades. Rich and deep colors go along with dusted and muted. In these series we will talk about trending colors, give you tips how to wear it and, of cause, suggest you something from the stores.

Classic Trio is chosen to open these mini series. White, Grey, Black are the most common and popular colors of the cold season. These colors don't ask for a specific color theme, easy to maintain. If you are a fan of a classic pallette for cold days, we found something for you.

BLACK. The most universal and flattering color. It goes with everything, for every occassion and every season. However, if in spring and summer you were leaning towards the colors in a rainbow, fall is time to embrace the black in your wardrobe. Mixing black with the right colors you can make it less coarse for summer-winter transition. Go from saturated colors to neon that are still trendy. Don't afraid of the contrasts: emerald, mellow yellow, futchia. For a softer look pair black with dusty rose, smoky grey or saturated burgundy. Play on hues, use deep purple, deep cobalt, deep dark red. Another tip on how to look stylish in black is to focus on texture: mix flat with knits, leather, fur, or match matte with satin and metallic.

GREY. This color may be considered dull, but the right shadow of it and right complimentary color makes it sophisticated and stylish. Grey otwear gives you the same classy style that black does, while adding softness into your look. This season choose the smoky grey hues over charcoal.

WHITE. The color of purity. Being my favorite color, it doesn't have a big share in my wardrobe. Why? Here's why: how to wear white without looking bigger? This color is very tricky. White won't be the first choice for the girls with shapes. However, like any color, there are ways to wear it that can be unflattering. This is really the most important rule that I learned by trial and error: avoid anything that is too tight. Instead choose cuts that float away from the body or snuggly wrap it.
