Fall/Winter 2012-2013: Fur, Color Blocking, Prints and Patterns

Fur. Fur is a cold season favorite of all times. For Fall/Winter 2012-2013 it is dyed with bold colors, used in blocks with other textures and for trimming options as the large block inserts, collar, cuffs or hem. Long fur is still on the peak as well.

Color blocking. Color blocking, while not a new trend, smoothly translates into fall/winter fashion. The biggest plus of color blocking is that it can flatter the figures, regardless of shape!

Prints. Prints keep a significant position in Fall/Winter 2012-2013 season. The safest option is to combine printed items with monotone ones. Plaid is classic, but it’s super trendy if updated with modern colors. If classic is too boring for you, choose bold, vivid and startling patterns.

Fall/Winter 2012-2013: Eggplant, Midnight Blue, Green Ultramarine, Yellow

The color palette of women's coats of fall/winter 2012-2013 is made of subdued and bright colors and details of natural palette. Aristocratic aubergine, seductive cobalt, noble ultramarine and energizing yellow are the shades of the season.

Eggplant
or Aubergine - the shades of deep purple and lilac - give some sophistication and grandeur to the look. You know most neutrals work well with eggplant: silver, white, off-white, cream and black. Browns, golds and greens all work well. I would stay away from colors that are similar in temperature.

Midnight Blue or Cobalt is one of the bright vivid colors of the upcoming autumn and winter. It is always safe no matter where you go: office, party or shopping. Mix it with golden yellow, tan, light brown, gray or silver. Brown with gold accents also looks really sharp next to deep blue. And if you're going for a bolder look, a yellow, tomato orange or red is your choice.

Ultramarine Green - such a fun color to transition from spring to fall. It's a deep, cooling blue-green, from a blend of jade to mint tones. It's destined to be one of the most prominent hues for fall 2012. The depth and beauty of color emphasizes its combination with black. Consider also brown, gray, navy blue, reds, gray, tan, creamy white. For a fresh bright look, mix ultramarine green with orange hues: honey gold, tangerine, tomato.

Yellow, from lemon to pale. Not sure if yellow is your color? Try it on with neutrals. Mustard yellow is a grown-up version among neon or soft pale shades. The pale neon shade would be perfectly paired with navy, black, or white. Colors to consider: browns, blues, gray, tan, reds, blues, purples.

Fall/Winter 2012-2013: Burgundy, Fuchsia, Orange, Smoky Rose

Fall and winter colors shouldn’t be as bright as they are in spring and summer. But it in no way means you have to go black, grey and brown. You can choose any color you like. Burgundy, Fuchsia, Orange, Smoky Rose are the go-with reds this season.

Burgundy. Wine shades are still in trend: passionate, complex, exciting, enigmatic. Mix burgundy with luxury prints (brocades, paisleys, silk stripes) or cool it down it with charcoal gray and olive.

Fuchsia, Magenta, Neon Pink. The combination of these color and black is at the peak of popularity. Captivating, stimulating, a gorgeous shade will pop you out of the crowd. Magenta is easier to wear than neon pink or ultra-bright fuchsia, but still has plenty of pop. Don't want black, go with gray, tan, yellows, lime green and browns. But consider this as well: the mint has a calming effect on brisk fuchsia.

Neon Orange, Tomato. This color is another favorite of Fall/Winter 2012-2013 season. Orange is a very stylish and happy color! Pair it with creamy white, gray, pale yellow, forest green, browns, cherry red. Try it mixed with pink that is quite a statement! If you want to go gallant, mix it with navy blue, bright cobalt or deep shade of purple.

Smoky Rose. This gentle and subtile carries a lot of sophistication and nobility. It mixes great with neutrals and denim. Garments in soft colors are stylish and elegant. They look sexy without being too aggressive. Consider also: browns, tan, mint and olive green.

This song became a new meme already, and it’s hard to listen to it without enjoying it sarcastically. Wait, do you mean people reasonably like this song? Ha ha ha. That’s funny…

I think what made it such a phenomenon is rather tongue-tied the sentence structure in the chorus. How many of you have this song on your hated list? Yet its catchiness is infectious. Ha!
